RETROGRAMME is a Washington DC area electronic music act whose 2008 debut album cultivated a underground buzz in the area with its beautiful atmospherics and considerably wide-range of electronic progressions from industrial rock to ambient soundscapes. Rob Early, the principal synthesist and programmer, and Nikk Allen, the primary songwriter, have a musicianship that is similar to that of New Order, Underworld, and classic live electronic acts. This is not another laptop act but a band blending tight programming with live instruments spanning genres from industrial to aggressive pop. Their upcoming release on Octofoil Records Season of Scars EP is a dark industrial rock release.
