The Opal Drops - Invasion EP (OCT03) The Opal Drops Invasion EP was recorded in the Fall of 2004 at the advent of electroclash. DC-area locals Kara N. and Dave B. created Invasion, a short set of tracks recorded live on hardware, over the course of several weekends. These tracks were originally distributed among local DJs who spun the tracks in clubs and on local college radio stations. Their sound was compared to Figurine, The Postal Service, and even early Depeche Mode, but The Opal Drops retained a low-fi introspective indie vibe that set them apart from similar artists. Four years later, Octofoil Records is proud to release these recently remastered tracks for your enjoyment.
